VXI Technology Releases LXI Capabilities Handbook

IRVINE, CA

VXI Technology, Inc. (VTI) has introduced the LXI Capabilities Handbook coinciding with the release of LXI Version 1.1. Key attributes of the Ethernet-based LXI standard are summarized to increase user understanding and awareness of the specification within the instrumentation community. Application- proven LXI accessories such as portable tablet PCs, high-performance Gigabit Ethernet switches, wireless bridges, TriggerBus distribution interfaces, and Ethernet cabling are included.

VTI also has introduced two LXI instruments leveraging the synchronization and triggering capabilities found only on Class A-compliant devices. The EX2500 Gigabit Ethernet Slot-0 Interface bridges the gap between the VXIbus and LXI environments without sacrificing performance or functionality. In addition, the EX1048A extends precision thermocouple measurements to distributed applications in a simple-to-use, stand-alone package.

“VTI is a founding member of the LXI Consortium and holds positions on the Board of Directors as well as Marketing Committee chair and treasurer. We are committed to providing the resources necessary to ensure that our customers have the widest choice of open-platform solutions available in the industry,” commented Jon Semancik, data acquisition business manager.
